UltraSurveyXL
can easily be configured to provide each survey
participant in their customized results
supplementary U.S. Government pay data they
select from the CompFacts
Base Pay Database. This database is derived
from public (government) pay surveys which we
enhance in a variety of ways. These surveys
reflect statistically-adequate sample sizes and
use consistent and well-tested mathematical,
computer and compensation techniques overseen by
professional pay analysts, statisticians and
economists.
The database covers
1.2 million organizations,
800 jobs,
442 industry classifications,
52 states and 409 metropolitan areas.
These participant-selected supplementary U.S.
Government pay data are a terrific way to both
validate and flesh out the basic custom survey
data provided to each participant – and are an
extremely effective way of maximizing survey
participation.
Illustrative screen
shots of a participant selecting the desired
location and industry, and the resulting
supplementary survey data provided, follow.

As illustrated by
the top screen shot, during the data submission
process the participant enters the codes of the
location and industry to be included in his/her
custom results. A location can either be an entire
state or any one of hundreds of metropolitan areas.
The industry can be any one of hundreds of general
or specific industry categories. As illustrated, the
location “New York State” and industry “Chemical
Manufacturing” were selected.
As illustrated by
the bottom screen shot, survey results include four
separate data cuts of U.S. Government pay data:
1. Nationwide data for all industries combined –
useful for management jobs with skill sets that
cross industries
2. Nationwide data for the specific selected
industry – useful for management jobs with skill
sets unique to a specific industry
3. Selected location data for all industries
combined – useful for non-management jobs with skill
sets that cross industries
4. Estimated pay data for the selected location and
selected industry |
