To our knowledge no other pay
survey provides each participant such a full
range of critical custom information in its
standard output as
UltraSurveyXL
does.
Note: In
addition to the information shown below, each
participant's Excel report displays that
participant's own title for each survey job, pay
structure and matching status with respect to each
data cut. This allows participant's to work with
only the most meaningful information.

Above are
typical column headings in an Excel report
worksheet showing job-related survey results.
The 40th and 60th percentiles were specified by
the survey designer, the 45th percentile was
specified by the individual participant, and the
remaining columns were produced as part of
UltraSurveyXL’s
standard output. Each participant is able to
specify during the data compilation process a
custom percentile, target comparative market
statistic, and the equation used to compute
differences.
- (Column H)
Your Value is the participant’s own submitted
value for the row.
- (Column I)
Your %Rank is the statistically normalized
percent of all survey participants in the row’s
data cut that the participant’s value equals or
exceeds. Many compensation pros view this as the
most valuable statistic in assessing competitive
position.
- (Columns J
and K) Your Diff (vs Med) and Your %Diff (vs
Med) are the absolute and percent differences
between this participant’s own value and his/her
selected comparative market statistic (in this
case Median).
- (Columns L
and M) Your TarSal and % vs Your TarSal are
the participant’s target salary (e.g. midpoint)
and the percent difference between that value
and his/her selected comparative market
statistic (in this case Median).
- (Column N)
Your Custom Mkt (Ptl 45) is the participant’s
selected custom statistic (1st thru 99th
percentile – in this case 45th).
