UltraSurveyXL surveys are surprisingly affordable. One reason for this is the total automation of every task for which we are responsible. Another reason, summarized below, is that we provide survey designers a software tool giving them the complete ability to design their own survey in about one to three days. Resulting design specifications are then used by us to create the Excel workbook used to collect participant information. Because of the total automation, the total time to complete a survey is essentially just the time the sponsor allows participants to submit their valid data. An entire survey can generally be completed in about one month.

In summary, the survey design process involves:

Screen Shots

1. Entering some general information about yourself, your organization and the survey you’re designing (including whether or not supplementary participant-selected U.S. Government pay data will be provided in survey results).
2. Entering the names and email addresses of survey invitees. We handle the actual emailing and tracking of invitations.
3. Specifying the information to be collected, including non-job related information, job-related information, data cuts and data validation rules. To speed up the process the program includes a library of many types of pre-configured data fields which can be added to the survey.
4. Specifying the custom statistics which will supplement the comprehensive standard statistics.
5. Specifying whether the survey will be ongoing and allow partial/recurring participant data submissions and updated custom results.
6. Entering survey jobs and descriptions. To speed up the process the program includes a library of many types of jobs which can be added to the survey.
7. Running an error-checking routine to identify definite or possible problems with the survey specifications. Definite problems will need to be fixed before specifications can be submitted to us.
8. Reviewing the comprehensive participant directions automatically created by the program and (optionally) adding your own custom portion of those directions.
9. Submitting your specifications to us to convert to the participants' data collection workbook.

Subsequent Automated Steps to Complete Survey
Note that, as appropriate, complete email status reports are sent on a real-time basis to the sponsor in order that he/she can continually monitor the survey’s progress.

1. The resulting Excel workbook used by participants to compile their data is emailed to the survey sponsor/designer for final approval.
2. Upon our receiving email notice of approval, the Excel workbook and directions are emailed to invitees who are asked to email back an initial response (i.e. they decline to participate, agree to participate or want to speak to the survey sponsor).
3. Participant data submissions are validated as received. If errors or omissions are found, an email with an attached Excel error report is sent to the participant who is asked to correct and resubmit their data.
4. At the direction of the sponsor, custom Excel survey results are created and distributed to each participant.
